Hello. I suppose an introduction is in order. If you've found your way here through my Facebook page, I'm glad my spiel has interested somebody. If you've ended up here through some other means, I welcome you all the same. Common topics here will probably be everything from photography to dinosaurs to video games to cosmology. Maybe even some bitching about my ho-hum life. I'm sure it will be so entertaining.
The primary purpose of the blog, however, is to see how capable I am as a writer. I've been told I have some talent, so let's see how good I really am. The second purpose is to have a place a little more private than Facebook or Twitter to post my thoughts. I'm a very opinionated person and some of my opinions are bound to offend others, but at least no one has to read this page.
If you're wondering what the hell the name of this place means: the Phanerozoic is a geological eon which encompasses the Cambrian period to the Holocene (the present) and it means "visible life". I thought it was fitting for a page about my interests.
The image used in the banner? I photographed it myself. I thought it was strangely beautiful, humorous, and dark all at once.
